Heart + Mind Heroes Club is a structured social-emotional learning group for children aged 4 to 8 years. Designed and facilitated by a credentialed behaviour therapist, the programme equips children with the foundational social skills they need to navigate friendships, group settings, and everyday emotional challenges.
Each term comprises 12 weekly sessions, each centred on a distinct social or emotional skill. Skills are taught through evidence-based, play-based methods, including guided games, role play scenarios, group discussions and hands-on crafts, ensuring children are actively engaged and that learning is retained through experience rather than instruction.
The programme is grounded in Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum frameworks and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies, providing both the breadth of social skill development and the structured reinforcement that leads to meaningful, measurable progress.
Heart + Mind Heroes Club is designed for children who demonstrate one or more of the following:
Difficulty initiating or sustaining peer interactions
Preference for solitary play or withdrawal from group settings
Challenges with emotional regulation, including frequent meltdowns or low frustration tolerance
Difficulty understanding social cues, turn-taking or shared attention
Limited awareness of socially expected behaviours in group contexts
The programme is suitable for typically developing children as well as those who may benefit from additional social skills support. If you are unsure whether the programme is appropriate for your child, we welcome a brief consultation prior to enrolment.
